Karen Disher is an animator, director and story artist at Blue Sky Studios 20th Century Fox Feature Animation (Greenwich, Connecticut, USA). Her credits include Head of Story, “Rio” (2011), Writer and Director, “Con Queso” (short film being developed through Blue Sky’s Original Shorts program), Director, “Surviving Sid” – Ice Age short featured on the “Horton Hears a Who” DVD, Story Artist, “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs”, Story Artist, “Horton Hears a Who, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown”, Story Artist, “Robot”.
Karen gave a talk to the Tisch Asia community about “Metamorphosis of a Film” on 24 November, Wednesday. She explained the steps of creating an engaging character for your story and also the process of making a film by using examples from her own portfolio.
