Tisch School of the Arts Asia final year Dramatic Writing student, Wee Li Lin was featured in Singapore’s leading newspaper, The Straits Times as one of the “hot names” likely to make the headlines in 2011. Li Lin just completed her latest feature film, Forever which tells the story about young woman Joey (starring Joanna Dong), a wedding video consultant who has a warped perspective on love. Forever is one of the 9 feature films funded by the Singapore Film Commission’s New Feature Film Fund.
“We’ve had great support from Tisch Asia from teachers to students who gave us their advice and assistance. In fact, Kenny Gee played a supporting role in the film and other students like Antoinette Mullins, Jill Karkosak, Lai Weijie, Jordan Mann, Amalia Yunus, Wishnu Hartandi and David Chang all played cameos. In addition, Tan Shijie conducted the auditions during pre-production and during production Lai Weijie served as behind the scenes videographer while Yahaya Alpha Suberu served as a grip on several days and Zippy Kimundu worked on the assembly edit. A big shout out to Amos Katz and Juanita Rodrigo for helping facilitate the auditions at Tisch Asia premises too. I’m so proud to be part of Tisch Asia and so proud of my schoolmates and immensely encouraged by their support of me.”
