Oscar-winning short film director, Professor Barbara Schock of Tisch School of the Arts Asia spoke to budding filmmakers at The New Paper First Film Fest Workshop yesterday evening. She gave a brief lecture on short film analysis and screened four short films to the enthusiastic crowd. She also shared her experiences as a Producer and Director in various music videos, short films and feature films throughout her career.
Subsequently, she joined Dramatic Writing student / film director Wee Li Lin and co-founder of Sinema Old School Nicholas Chee for a Q&A session moderated by film journalist, Jason Johnson.
Interestingly, Jason Johnson screened his first short film, “Lyre” and read a “constructive” review by Barbara Schock.
