Orientation for the first intake of Professional Certificate Program (PCP) in Filmmaking commenced on Monday, September 26, 2011. It was a gratifying event as 8 students from India, Taiwan, Thailand, Russia and Singapore came together and mingled around for the first time in New York University Tisch School of the Arts Asia.
The orientation began with a briefing conducted by Student Services followed by an address from President Pari Sara Shirazi. They were then brought on a campus tour after which a break for lunch followed. The students wasted no time as everyone displayed enthusiasm and dived right into a technical session where they learned the basics of shooting with a video camera.
