Hans Bacher, production designer in the animation film industry, gave lectures at Tisch School of the Arts Asia during orientation. For the last 40 years, he lived and worked in Duesseldorf, London, Paris, Los Angeles, Manila, Tokyo and now Singapore. His credits include Fantasia/2000 (visual development – segment Piano Concerto No. 2), The Lion King (visual development artist), Aladdin (visual development), Beauty and the Beast (production consultant: visual development), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (storysketch: animation). Hans won the prestigious Annie Award for his Production Design on Disney’s Mulan in 1998. His book Dream Worlds, Focal Press, is available on Amazon.com. He is a professor for film design at the Nanyang University in Singapore.
