Arjun Chatterjee ’13 (MFA, Kanbar, Animation and Digital Arts) has been recently featured in two newspapers in India, The Telegraph and New Indian Express.

It all began with only a Facebook page when the 23 year-old artist and creator of The Little Conversations of Zak and Zik, first started. Arjun Chatterjee’s web comic to date records 3,000 hits a day.

Without the menace of censorship, Arjun hopes to bring across messages of awareness about culture and society. In his web comic, Zak, a nonchalant chap and Zik, a girl of vigor who often than not falls victim to Zak’s wicked jokes pretty much form up the characters of this black and white comic.

Arjun one day hopes to put his comics into animation. “I will start animating them. They will have dialogues. But I will stick to the black and white color. The videos will be 6-10 seconds clips, based on conversational exchanges,” says the creator whose dream project is to ‘‘make The Ramayan with the Lord of the Rings level animation and visual effects.’’ (The New Indian Express, Chennai)
