Power to the Pixel’s CEO Liz Rosenthal spoke via Skype from London to New York University Tisch School of the Arts Asia’s Exit Strategies class for third year students.Rosenthal fielded many questions from students and showcased some of the best international cross-media stories in her discussion – stories that span a combination of film, television, online, gaming, live events, and mobile.
Since its inception in 2007, Power to the Pixel’s Cross-Media Forum has gained a world-class reputation for bringing together the leading international innovators and pioneers who are changing the way films are being created, financed and are reaching audiences in a digital world. At the heart of the best transmedia projects is always a good story and compelling characters Rosenthal noted.
Students JB Breliere, (France) Marttise Hill (USA), Davide Pasti (Italy), Victoria Soberal (USA) Gaopeng Steven Su (China), Ty Lawson (USA) Harshad Gaikwad (India) and Seran Kim (USA) explored how their projects may fit into the current explosion of change in distribution platforms and content development and realized the potential of co-production possibilities given the diverse and global nature of the school’s student body.
