Faculty Update: Amos Ezra Katz Receives Grant

Amos Ezra Katz, Alumnus of New York University Tisch School of the Arts and now, Lecturer and Associate Director of Production at New York University Tisch School of the Arts Asia, is the recipient of a grant from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The fund from the HFPA grant is intended to aid in the costs for the post-production of Amos Ezra Katz’s thesis film, Crossings, scheduled for completion in March 2012.

Crossings, a short romantic comedy of errors about a travel photographer who helps a wayward backpacker by giving his only train ticket to her also received a grant from the Singapore Film Commission by the Media Development Authority (MDA). 

The lead actors of the short film are from Korea and the locations included trains and train stations in both Singapore and Malaysia. The multi-national crew consisted of NYU Tisch and NYU Tisch Asia as well as local professionals.
