Joe Reidy ’76 (Film), producer and long time assistant director for Martin Scorsese ’64, ’68, Hon. ’92 visited New York University Tisch School of the Arts Asia on January 18, 2012. A Tisch alumnus, Reidy was led on a tour around the campus by Michael Burke, chair of the Graduate Film department.
Over 20 years, Reidy has worked with Scorsese on 11 projects. Reidy also has worked with Robert Redford, Sidney Lumet and Oliver Stone ’71 (Film), artistic director of Tisch School of the Arts Asia.
When not directing or producing, Reidy can be seen on-screen doing various bit parts. His favorite scene was acting as a gambler who got caught cheating in Casino with Robert DeNiro and Don Rickles.
