Tisch Summer High School Program in Singapore 2010: Pulau Ubin Trip

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

On July 18, the Tisch Summer High School Program students had a little weekend adventure at Pulau Ubin, the last “kampung” (or village) in Singapore. The group took a bumboat ride from Changi jetty from the main island to Pulau Ubin. Once arrived, students can choose to cycle or ride the van for a half-day tour around the island. Students experienced “Singapore in the 60s” as they cycled through rubber plantations and tropical mangroves. It was an interesting and enriching day away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
