Bill Plympton visits Campus

Animation and Digital Arts students were treated to a visit by special guest Bill Plympton this past semester. Bill gave two talks about creating animations that are fast, funny, and inexpensive to produce. He also met with students individually and reviewed thesis projects from the graduating class. See Bill drawing during his talk here.
Bill draws his animations by hand, one frame at a time. He urged students to produce, create and distribute their own movies. His talk covered how to think about new ways of storytelling through creating unique animations.
You can read more about Bill Plympton on his website.
The Animation and Digital Arts department recently held their spring show. View a photo gallery from the event.
